Biography

Oh Changik grew up in South Korea and completed his dance studies in 2012 at Chung Ang University in Seoul. From 2009 he danced as a member of the CCC – Choe Contemporary Dance Company, which presented numerous productions at international festivals such as the Suzanne Dellal Center in Tel Aviv, the CINARS Biennial in Montréal, the Attakkalari India Biennial, the PAMS – Performing Arts Market in South Korea and China.

As a soloist he has collaborated with the French Seo Dance Company, among others. Since 2015, Changik has been working as a freelance dancer in Germany and has collaborated with Stephanie Thiersch, Maura Morales, and the Tchekpo Dance Company. Oh Changik has created own award-winning pieces, which were presented at festivals in South Korea. Since 2016, he has collaborated regularly with steptext dance project and choreographer Helge Letonja.
