Dipesh Verma was born in West Bengal, India. Dance has been a passion and a love for most of his life, but in India dance is generally not considered an art form pursued by men. Watching television piqued his interest for different dance styles – from breakdancing to Indian classical dance and Bollywood – and inspired him to dance, despite his background.
He started freestyling in multiple genres, and moved to Mumbai in 2015 to study ballet at The Danceworx Performing Arts Academy, with Ashley Lobo, Yehuda Maor and Yuko Harada, and to Paris in 2019, receiving a scholarship to study at the Paris Marais Dance School.
